Maccabi Masters review: December 15

articlemain

Brady Maccabi A continued their improvement with a 4-3 victory over Waldaf Town in Division One of the Maccabi Masters League.

Two goals from Mark Wagman, a penalty from Gideon Barnett and an own goal clinched the points.

The top three teams claimed convincing wins in Division Two, with leaders Glenthorne United A putting five past Hendon Harriers without reply.

David Michaels (2), David Simmons (2) and Gary Adams did the damage.

Hot on Glenthorne's heels are London Maccabi Lions who thrashed Marshside 7-1. Fara Moghim scored the goal of the game with a spectacular long-range effort past Jeremy Reuben, but it proved little more than scant consolation as Brad Lazarus (2), Simon Black, Simon Barr, David Price and Marc Morris registered for Lions. And keeper Reuben had the final say with a strike from the penalty spot.

EDRS Stonegrove maintained their slim hopes with a 5-1 demolition of Temple Fortune. Russell Rich, Martin Seifert, James Bloom and Malcolm Joseph found the target, with James Ryan grabbing a consolation for Fortune.

St John's Wood Tigers ran out 4-0 victors against Glenthorne B, with strikes from Perry Somers (2), Ezra Mordecai and Adam Soller.
