Maccabi Masters Football League review: April 17

articlemain

A hat-trick from top-scorer Adam Stolerman eased Chigwell Athletic into the final of the Henry Swerner Cup following a 10-1 demolition of Waldaf Town.

The east Londoners remain on course for a league and cup double after further strikes from Steve Summers, player-manager Richard Slater (2), Dean Nyman (2), Jamie Fox and Daniel Sugarman set up a final showdown against Brady Maccabi.

Alex Bourne netted Waldaf’s consolation.

Waldaf's Jeremy King told JC Sport: "We only had 10 men for 90 minutes and one of those was playing his fort game for 18 months and we had no recognised keeper."

Meanwhile, in the final game of the Division Two league season, goals from John Perloff and Adam Soller saw St John’s Wood Tigers overcome EDRS 2-1 and secure third place. Steve Krieger scored for EDRS.
