Following a successful trip to San Francisco last year, Maccabi GB has selected a 35-man squad that will travel to Denver for the 2010 JCC Maccabi Games in August.
Team GB has taken part in the event for 16 years running with more than 1,000 young people taking part in the largest event for Jewish teen athletes in the world.
As the motto More than Just Sport explains, the event encompasses other key aspects. They aim to promote the health, physical fitness and the well-being of Jewish youth through recreational and athletic activities. The social aspect is also high on the agenda as sports-minded youngsters are hosted by families.
Off the pitch, athletes will also have the opportunity to learn about cultures of different Jewish communities.
Team GB Delegation Head Brian Green, who leads the squad alongside wife, Helena, said: "We are absolutely delighted with the quality of the squad and management team which includes participants from Glasgow, Belfast, Birmingham, Manchester and London.
"And we are confident of returning home with a haul of medals and, more importantly, plenty of new friends."
