SHONN TROPHY FINAL
LEEDS MACCABI 2 HEATON PARK ROVERS 0

DANIEL KRISTALL insists Leeds Maccabi won’t dare take their eye off the ball as they close in on an unprecedented treble.

Leeds clinched the Shonn Trophy following their 2-0 win over Heaton Park Rovers last week, with Jordan Marks and Mark Korn their goal-scoring heroes.

Now they have switched their attentions the Harold Feldman Trophy final against Manchester Maccabi Yellow.

Leeds will be red-hot favourites at Oldham’s Boundary Park on Sunday and boss Kristall said: “We are not taking nothing for granted and will be focused 100 per cent on completing the job.

"We don't want to slip up now. Everyone will expect us to roll them over but we know it doesn’t work like that.

"They are an improved side and will be up for the game. I remember how they gave us a scare in a league game a few weeks ago so we realise we need to be on our game or we will come unstuck."

Leeds will be boosted by the return of Gidi Amar and Jonny Goldstone, who missed the triumph over Heaton Park.

HPR were aggrieved that goalkeeper Louis Abrahamson escaped a red card – who then rubbed salt into the wounds by saving Marc Maynard’s resulting penalty.

Marks netted for a below-par Leeds and they were fortunate to escape when HPR saw a goal chalked off for offside.

Harry Roache then saw red after collecting two bookings and Korn’s late breakaway sealed the win.

Kristall added: "We weren't at our best and I admit we rode our luck at times. But it’s a good sign that we can play below our best and still beat a good side."
