Improving HMH keep champions in check

articlemain

North London Raiders dropped points for the first time this season as the defending champions were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw against HMH in Division One.

Tony Plaskow maintained his excellent run of goal-scoring form for NLR, but a penalty from Neil Kochane ensured the newcomers earned a credible point.

Marc Cutler was the hat-trick hero as Waldaf Town returned to winning ways with a crushing 8-3 success over Faithfold. Alex Bourne (2), Mike Lax (2) and a long-range special from Hezi Yechiel eased Waldaf home. Faithfold's goals came via Ben Simons (2) and Ali Marks.

Martin Seifert (2) and Mark Kingston steered EDRS Stonegrove to the top of Division Two following a 2-1 victory over Glenthorne United. Mike Nathan replied.

Barry Silkman and Faramarz Moghim fired two apiece to set up Zigzag Marshside's 6-2 destruction of Temple Fortune.

Further strikes from Sam Nourazi and Jason Rich completed the rout. Yali Mamouri and Andy Montlake registered for Fortune.

Perry Somers and Andrew Cohen earned St John's Wood Tigers a 2-1 success over Hendon Harriers.
