Glenthorne United B are the new champions of the Maccabi Masters Division Two after a 2-0 win over Brady Maccabi B that gives them an unassailable lead at the top of the table.
Gary Adams set Glenthorne on the road to victory before midfield dynamo Trevor Granger put the seal on the title with a header after Adam Hart’s free kick had hit the bar.
The win puts the Thornes three points ahead of rivals Lions, with each team having just one remaining fixture.
With both divisional championships now decided, attention turns to the Nathan Horwitz MMFL Division 2 Cup Final which sees EDRS Stonegrove take on London Maccabi Lions at Barnet FC’s Underhill Stadium on Wednesday evening, kicking off at 7.45pm.
