This year’s Maccabi Masters League Henry Swerner Cup will be contested by Brady Maccabi A and Faithfold who came through their respective semi-finals.
Brady kept alive their double hopes after edging out North London Raiders 3-2 courtesy of a brace from Mark Wagman and a penalty from Nick Collins. Spencer Steinberg and Paul Herszaft struck for the Raiders.
Faithfold overcame newly-crowned Division Two champions EDRS Stonegrove 5-2 with Joel Nathan grabbing four and Jason Levy netting the other. Phil Silver scored both goals for an EDRS team who suffered their very first defeat of the season in their final match.
In the league, table toppers Glenthorne ended the campaign with a 3-0 win over South Manx in Division One. Richard Goldstein (2) and Elliot Mullish took Glenthorne six points clear of Brady, who have three games in hand. A playoff could decide the title if Brady win their remaining matches.
Robert Botkai, Gary Burns, Jeremy Fess and an own goal steered Temple Fortune to a 4-2 win over Clayhall Park Casuals in Division Two. Mark Goldman and Paul Moss replied.
Steve Feiger (2), Ian Goldsmith and Howard Star were on the mark as Division Two runners-up Norstar Old Boys thumped Glenthorne B 4-0.
