Ellie Edwards, 14, cut her 200 metres best to 26.25 in the Trafford AC Young Athletes meeting.

Sam Shindler-Glass, 14, recorded personal bests of 57.1 for 400 metres and 2:11.0 for 800 metres when representing Ealing, Southall and Middlesex AC in the Young Athletes League .

Nick Davis, 17, set a new PB of 52.58 to finish fourth in the 400 metres final at the Middlesex Under 20 Championships. Jamie Cohen, 12, of Harrow AC, won the Hertfordshire U13 High Jump title with 1.30 metres, having climbed to 10th in the UK age group rankings the previous week with a new PB of 1.42 metres.

Ben Lewis, 18, of Sale Harriers, showed similar versatility in the Greater Manchester & Cheshire Under 20 County Championships, winning the 3,000 metres in 8:56.74 and finishing runner-up in the triple jump with 12.8.

Team-mate Jennifer Simmons, 20, won the 400m flat and 400m hurdles titles, in 58.47 and 66.32 respectively.
