Brady Maccabi A player-manager Daniel Collins predicted an exciting finish after his team closed the gap at the top of Division One to two points following a 4-2 victory over leaders Glenthorne United A.
A hat-trick from Nick Collins plus one from Mark Wagman saw them register their eighth win of the campaign. Jason Levy and Richard Goldstein struck for Glenthorne.
Collins said: “We’re closing the gap. It should be a good finish.”
Faithfold have set their sights on a top three finish after three goals from Darren Gurner steered them past London Maccabi Lions A. Andy Miller and Nick Baum replied.
EDRS Stonegrove require just one point from their remaining two games to secure the Division Two title after beating Ashlodge 3-1. Adam Kern, Jon Kaye and Jacob Namer were the marksmen. Ashlodge’s consolation came from diminutive guest David Walton, who rose majestically to head his first goal in over 40 years of Jewish football.
James Ryan (2), Graham Meyer and Allon Schick-Maier were on the mark as Temple Fortune beat Glenthorne B 4-1. Ray Russell fired the consolation.
Marc Morris (2), David Pollock and Mark Pollack helped London Maccabi Lions B overcome Brady B 4-2. Marc Herman and Pete Sugarman netted for Brady.
