articlemain

Italian Camila Giorgi, 25 left her seventh consecutive Wimbledon feeling positive, albeit disappointed at her bitter third round straight set loss in 1 hours 21 mins to 13th seed Latvian Jelena Osapenko  (7-5 7-5).

“Of course I’m disappointed to lose, but I feel good. I feel really positive” said an upbeat Giorgi, ranked 86th.

“Especially as for the last two and a half months I’ve had different injury problems. So I am happy that I played very good matches on grass this year. Last year I didn’t. This year I did play well in Birmingham, then here.

"But it’s fine, I learned from the experience and I was happy to be here. Grass is always going to be my favourite surface. Wimbledon 2017 was just wonderful for me.”
