Missed the sales? Strike now for the real bargains

The flashing “Sale” banners have mostly gone, but many fashion sites continue to offer bargains via a more discreet button at the top of the screen. With balmier days not far off and spring collections about to drop, should we be tempted by “final reductions”?

It seems almost rude not to take advantage of the covetable, often timeless clothing being offered at significant discounts resulting from the battering fashion is currently taking due to – among other issues – over-supply.

Knits, boots and coats are worth a look if you have gaps to fill, but savvy fashionistas will focus on the essential building blocks of a modern wardrobe – the trans-seasonal trench coats, blazers, shirts, blouses, cardis, jeans, leather jackets and ath-leisure tops and bottoms we all wear year-round styled with boots, scarves and extra layers in winter and on all but the hottest days.

Earlier this week there were trench coats from high-end brands with up to 70 per cent off at Net-a-Porter and at half price at Calvin Klein, Massimo Dutti and Mango.

Brilliantly trans-seasonal blazers were heavily discounted at many brands including & Other Stories, Cos and M&S and by Tom Ford, Wardrobe NYC and other high-end brands at Net-a-Porter.

There are blouses and shirts in many cuts from many labels, high end to high street, while biker jackets are available at up to 60 per cent off at Acne Studios, All Saints and Massimo Dutti, and premium-brand jeans are on sale at half price or less at Trilogy, Net-a-Porter and Matches.
