Brum Girls football team swept to victory for the second year running at the Juefa Cup five-a-side student football tournament.
It was an all-Birmingham women’s final as the Brum Girls beat rivals Mitzvah Balls, while in the men’s final, Manchester Oak Hill beat the Jewish Campus USA team.
Over 150 students gathered in Manchester to watch 20 teams compete.
Teams from as far apart as Scotland and Exeter took part in the annual tournament organised by the Union of Jewish Students and Masa, an organisation that helps students find internships in Israel.
A minute’s silence was held at the event last Sunday for the victims of the terrorist attacks in Paris.

Brum Girls team captain Gabby Kingsley said: “Winning was unbelievable. We honestly didn’t think we could do it two times in a row, but we did. The level of all the girls’ teams stepped up so much from last year. Thank you to UJS and Masa for hosting yet another brilliant JUEFA.”
UJS JSoc officer Aya Abrahams said: “It was an amazing opportunity to bring students from all around the country together to connect through playing football in a competitive but fun environment.”
