Lloyd Dorfman, founder of the Travelex Group, has inaugurated a new wing in his family’s name at JCoSS.

The Dorfman Wing will house a new art room, an IT room, a design technology classroom as well as additional classrooms.

Mr Dorfman said the family was “delighted to continue our association with the school”, having been among its early backers in 2006.

“The school has outstanding leadership, an important cross-communal outlook and an impressive group of students. It is a privilege and a pleasure for us to be involved,” he said.

Headteacher Patrick Moriarty saluted the “wonderful support” of Mr Dorfman and his wife Sarah as well as other generous members of the community for the new facilities, which were “vital to our expanding sixth form and will ensure we can offer a wide curriculum of A-level and vocational courses”.
