Movember has come and gone and the guys from the JSocs at Leeds, London and Birmingham have been proudly sporting mous-taches grown to raise money and awareness for men’s health charities. “It’s important because issues like testicular cancer and getting regular checks can be something of a taboo,” said a hirsute Joseph Hyman from Leeds’ “Team JEWMO”. Facial hair included a “Tom Selleck”, two (failed) attempts at the handle-bar, and even Wolverine-style sideburns. The question now — to shave or not to shave.

BEACHSIDE BLESSINGS

High times in Bournemouth as the JSoc joined the town’s Jewish community to celebrate the first night of Chanucah with a two-storey-high menorah overlooking the beach. Rabbi Yossie Alperowitz was raised up by crane to light the shamash and the first candle.
