Woodford Wanderers chairman Alex Aviram splashed the cash in the January transfer window, spending big money on three new signings.
The Wanderers chief found himself struggling for numbers with injury to several key players, but the new signings will no doubt help boost the squad and the team's promotion assault.
Manager Alex Aviram and assistant Mitch Hahn confirmed the massive capture of Jon Kurrant this week. In 2009, Kurrant helped Team GB reach the final of the Maccabiah Games and both Aviram and Hahn look forward to seeing the defensive technician in Woodford colours.
Aviram was also delighted to confirm the signing of Gregg Lautman from Redbridge A. The Woodford new boy made his debut with a man-of-the-match display in Sunday's 3-2 win over Norstar A.
The chairman did not stop there with his spending when last night David Bennet put pen to paper. The 28-year-old striker is welcomed back to the Maccabi League after 3a three-year absence.
