An experienced educator who led a London-wide strategies forum set up by the Department for Education is the new head of the Wolfson Hillel Primary in Southgate.
Kirsten Jowett will take up the post in September, succeeding acting head Rick Barnes. Ms Jowett is currently the acting deputy head of the Yesodey Hatorah Senior School in Stamford Hill.
She looked forward "to building on the huge successes of my predecessors in leading this great school".
Governors' chair Howard Cohen said Wolfson Hillel had recruited "an inspirational leader with a passion for education".
