Sporting JLGB boss Gavin Sharpe insists his side will be back at full strength for their Harold Feldman Trophy clash with Republic of Mancunia 1st on Sunday.
Danny Jacobs, Moshe Hasid and Jonny Davies all missed the weekend's 4-0 defeat by Hyde Park Rovers but are set to be included for the upcoming clash.
Despite the result, Sharpe was hugely encouraged by his team’s display and says he witnessed a marked improvement from last weekend’s 3-2 win at Crumpsall.
“I know we won at Crumpsall last week but we were a shamblesand this time we were ten times better,” he said.
“I thought that against Hyde Park we were tactically and technically the better side but just couldn’t take our chances.
“Rafi Bloom had a golden opportunity to equalise and make it 1-1 but he slipped at the vital moment.
“If he had scored it could have been a very different game but fair play to them because they played very well.”
Sporting were well in the contest until they fell apart in the final five minutes with Rovers scoring three times to put some extra gloss on the scoreline.
But Sharpe says he is not worried by the late collapse and is backing his side to bounce back when they take on Republic this weekend.
He added: “I had a lot of players missing and guys playing out of position on Sunday but we’ll be back at full strength this weekend.
“Republic have got some momentum back and are looking more like the team of old so we know what to expect.
“It’s going to be a tough game but we’re looking forward to it.”
