Statement beds

Whether you’re looking for a pared-back Scandinavian feel or a grand, eclectic style, the And So To Bed Louis XV Caned Bed is a stunning, statement piece that truly stands the test of time. Inspired by the intricate designs of the Rococo period, And So To Bed’s Louis XV Caned is the epitome of luxury. The origins of this graceful design were made famous by King Louis XV and his mistress Madame de Pompadour.

The Louis XV Caned Bed showcases the expert craftsmanship for which And So To Bed is renowned, featuring handwoven, tea-stained cane and a hand-carved solid timber frame with beautifully elegant rose motifs adorning the head and footboards. Complete with an antique finish for a superior look straight from the French styles of the 18th century.

This beautiful piece of classical furniture exudes a luxury rustic appeal with textural interest, at home in both modern and traditional interior schemes. Seen in luxury homes and hotels alike, this lavish, ornamental bed is a popular choice among interior design devotees. Guaranteed to truly make your bed the focal point of any room.

“The Louis XV Caned Bed is one of our much-loved pieces. Although it’s inspired by the finest French designs of the Rococo period, it’s still as on trend as ever coming into 2021. The intricate design allows your space to be elevated into a feeling of unrivalled luxury and grandeur.” Martin Gill, And So To Bed - Managing Director.

Overhaul your whole space with the accompanying bedroom furniture from the Louis XV collection, including a beautiful bedside table adorned with an attractive criss-cross design and a chest of drawers with an elaborate hand-carved design. Or why not pair with the elegant dressing table and free-standing triple mirror with a sophisticated, antique finished bench to match? The timeless Louis XV Caned Bed is available in super king and emperor bed sizes.

Retreat from the stresses of the day and create the perfect bedroom environment for a premium night’s sleep on the finest bed for you.

Sleep tips

And So To Bed’s resident sleep expert, Dr Lindsay Browning, has put together some tips to help customers improve their sleep quality. It is important now more than ever to focus on self-care and a well-rested sleep.

Dr Lindsay’s top sleep tips:

1. Regular bedtimes: Go to bed at the same time and get up at the same time each day.

2. Night mode: Set your devices to automatically go into "night mode" in the evening - reducing your exposure to blue light.

3. Screen time: Try to avoid screen time an hour before you go to bed and keep phones and laptops out of the bedroom overnight.

4. Wind-down time: Make time to relax and wind down before bed (read or have a bath before you go to bed).

5. Exercise: Get some regular exercise in the day (it is great for your mental health, physical health and sleep).

6. Get outdoors: Make sure you get outside for a walk once per day, or at least go outside in your garden. Ideally get outside between 11am and 1pm. We need natural light during the day to help us sleep at night.
