Nottingham JSoc has held the country’s first Booze for Jews event of the new academic year.

With the flagship party suffering a slight drop in attendances nationally in the past 12 months, the Nottingham committee took a new approach, giving the celebration a theme and embarking on a fresh marketing initiative.

The “frat pack” theme saw Booze for Jews co-hosted by JSoc with the country’s first Jewish fraternity — the Nottingham-based Zeta Beta Tau.

More than 800 students from across the country joined in the fun at the Forum nightclub in the city on Sunday last week, with coaches bringing in revellers from Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester.
