Roasted fig and honey pudding for sukkot succot

Ingredients

1 tbsp butter/margarine or spray oil, to grease dish



150g butter or non-dairy margarine



5 tbsp date syrup



4 tbsp honey



8 fresh figs



For the sponge:



4 eggs



100g golden caster sugar



250g self-raising flour



1 tsp baking powder



1 tsp vanilla extract



For the topping



4 tbsp Greek yoghurt or plant based Vanilla or plain yoghurt



2-3 sprigs fresh thyme (optional)



Drizzle of honey



2 tbsp pomegranate seeds
