Leeds Maccabi 1st continued their fight for the league title by producing a five-star performance to see off West Hunslet.
The in-form Dave Woolman scored twice with Elliot Jackson, Oliver Abrahamson and Jonny Goldstone wrapping up the win.
West Hunslet finished the game with ten men after losing their discipline but Maccabi boss Ian Selwyn was delighted with his side’s display.
“It was a good win on a very difficult pitch,” said Selwyn.
“They were quite aggressive and the league leaders came here and lost so it shows you how difficult it is here.
“But we played some very good football and I’m really pleased with the three points.
“I know the other teams above us still have to play each other and hopefully we can take advantage.
“We’ve now got to cup games on the bounce and hopefully we can get through those and win something this season.”
Woolman scored twice in the first-half to give his side a 2-1 lead at the interval, before Jackson’s bullet header gave Maccabi a two-goal cushion.
Abrahamson marked his debut for the first team by heading home the fourth, with substitute Goldstone wrapping up the win at the death.
“I’ve been trying to give some of the younger kids like Oliver Abrahamson a chance in the first team and he’s got a goal on his debut,” added Selwyn.
“It’s important to bring the kids through and they’re doing a great job.”
