Finland international Roni Porokara has been handed a trial by League One side Brentford.

The 29-year-old, who had been playing in Israel with league champions Hapoel Kiryat Shmona, is a free agent after leaving the club last month.

Porokara, who has scored five goals in 22 appearances for Finland, is hoping to secure a contract until the end of the season at Griffin Park.

Brentford manager Uwe Rosler, whose side recently took Chelsea to an FA Cup replay in the fourth round of the competition, will run the rule over the talented winger.

Porokara will feature in the development squad contest against Bristol City on Tuesday.
