• Members of religion school and adults will be rehearsing from 9.45 and then going off to perform a show for the residents of the Jewish Care home Ruben's House in Finchley Central at 11.00am. They will also be decorating the home and making decorations to prepare for Chanukah.
• Helping to redecorate the Homeless Action in Barnet's Day Centre. The centre, which offers clients services including meals, showers, laundry, medical, social and psychiatric services, will be repainted, cleaned and generally revamped by the teams of adult volunteers
• Making Challah Cloths (to cover the plaited bread eaten on the Sabbath) to send to Emuna, the synagogue's twin community in Belarus. Professional artist Emma Gurner will be running this.
• Creating gifts for destitute children and their families and seeking asylum via the Destitute Asylum-Seekers Drop-in run by members of NNLS. Participants will be decorating empty shoe boxes, then filling them with bags of rice and new toys donated by members of the Community
• Clean up of Victoria Park. Volunteers will help clear up local Finchley space, Victoria park, clearing, planting and generally sprucing up the park.
