There will be no Israelis in the main draw of the Singles competitions at Wimbledon after Shahar Peer and Julia Glushko failed at the final hurdle of the qualifying competition.
Peer had progressed through two qualifying rounds, but she bowed out in the third round, losing 6-3, 6-0 to Michelle Larcher De Britto of Portugal on Court 3 on Thursday.
Compatriot Julia Glushko was looking to reach the main draw in back-to-back events for the first time after impressing at the French Open, but she crashed out 6-3, 6-1 against Maria Elena Camerin.
In the Men's competition, Dudi Sela and Amir Weintraub bowed out earlier in the week in the qualifiers.
