To begin with, the Human Rights Council is an international joke that willfully ignores chronic abuses committed the world over while focusing obsessively on every alleged act of wrongdoing by Israel.
Advocates like UN Watch have urged Libya's expulsion from the council for years, citing - among other atrocities - Khadafy's role in the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103.
Before finally suspending Libya's membership in the council Friday, the body gave its delegation's members a chance to break with the reprehensible leader who was quite satisfactory to them until the last week or so.
Said diplomat Adel Shaltut: "The will of people is invincible. Our ancestors fought against the Italian fascist invaders. We are the grandchildren of these heroes. A new chapter is being written in blood. Victory to the heroic people of Libya!"
This diplomat who glorified the Libyan heroes has now defected and criticises the Libyan tyrant.
Maybe because he now know that he is Jewish? LOL!
