Charities depend on trustees who donate their time, expertise and, often, money. We should all be grateful to those who take on the burden. And burden it is; a number of onerous duties go with the position.
The trustees of British Friends of Hazon Yeshaya are no doubt as shocked as everyone else. But they must remember that they are responsible for the proper use of donations and cannot simply walk away now that Hazon Yeshaya iself is in crisis. They must do everything in their power to trace the monies handed over by donors.
