Our story this week about CafePress has had an unexpectedly, though partial, welcome outcome. As a direct result of a complaint from the JC, a range of items featuring a swastika on top of a star of David has been withdrawn from sale. It is, however, still possible to dress your dog in a T-shirt with a "No to Judaism" logo (featuring a red line drawn through a Magen David) or indeed clothe your child in a "Stop Nazionism" babygro. CafePress should be commended for paying attention to one legitimate complaint. But "freedom of expression" really doesn't cut it as a justification for peddling this kind of loathsome muck.
