Two years ago, John Galliano's world fell apart when he was caught on film in an antisemitic rant. He was, rightly, suspended from his glittering job in fashion and was treated as a pariah. So it is good to report that something positive has come from those events. He appears genuinely penitent. Mr Galliano turned up at the ADL in New York asking for education and has convinced the organisation that he is a changed man. It is easy just to write off the likes of Mr Galliano. But, hopefully, the next chapter of his story will show that education can actually work.
