Fantastically arrogant, contemptuous and plain stupid piece from Melissa Benn. She argues on CiF that because there are many politicians, parents and councils who don't want to get rid of grammar schools, and on the one occaision when people were balloted they rejected abolition, they have to be ignored. So she puts forward her own plan, which has the advantage of not needing support from anyone who, er, might not agree.
It must be wonderful to be so certain of your own rectitude and unassailed all round sheer genius that you never need to bother with the little people who don't agree with you.
