British and Israeli companies involved in water supply are set for greater collaboration after an agreement between representatives of the two countries.
British Water, the trade association which represents companies in the supply train from pipes to water treatment, has signed an understanding with Israel's centre for research and development, Matimop.
Ian Bernard, technical manager of British Water, said: "The goals are to do business and technology exchange which benefits both parties."
He said the deal resulted from a relationship developed over two years after British Water sent delegates to Israel's water technology conference, Watec, in 2009.
