When it comes to diplomacy, Donald Trump is not afraid to pull out the big guns.

Visiting China on a state visit to boost trade relations and contain the crisis with North Korea, the US president called upon his six-year-old granddaughter to help smooth the path.

Guests at a state dinner in Beijing last night applauded politely as Arabella Kushner, whose parents are the president’s daughter Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner, performed a traditional Chinese song on a large video screen.

The pre-recorded clip, which shows the youngster singing and reciting poems in Mandarin, garnered more than 30,000 likes and 5,000 comments in just 24 hours after it was shared on Chinese social media, according to The Times.
