Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan threatened to invade Israel on Sunday, prompting a sharp warning from Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz.

Amid growing fears across the world of an all-out war between Israel and Hezbollah after a rocket attack from Lebanon that killed 12 Druze children and teenagers in the Golan Heights on Saturday night, Turkey ramped up the bellicose rhetoric with its Foreign Ministry also comparing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Hitler

In a televised address according to Reuter’s, the Turkish leader said, “We must be very strong so that Israel can’t do these ridiculous things to Palestine. Just like we entered Karabakh, just like we entered Libya, we might do similar to them.”

He added, “There is no reason why we cannot do this. We must be strong so that we can take these steps.”
