;Staff-Sgt. Maj. Hadas Malka,, who joined the Border force 15 months ago after serving in the Israeli navy, was described as a ‘real-life Wonder Woman’ and ’good-hearted and optimistic’ by her friend her friend Amit Azulai in a television interview with Channel 2.
The funeral was attended by thousands of mourners, according to JTA.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said: “Their grief is our grief; their sorrow is that of the entire nation. Hadas was a young person full of life. She was imbued with a sense of mission of defending the State of Israel. Her commanders and those under her command loved her and trusted her,”

Staff-Sgt. Maj. Malka had sent a smiling selfie with the words “Shabbat Shalom to my loving friends,” shortly before her death.
The three attackers were all shot dead at the scene. Isis has made its usual claim of responsibility but that has been disputed by Hamas who insist that their organisation carried out the murder.
