Donald Trump’s chief strategist, Stephen Bannon, is reportedly in a clash with the president’s son-in-law and senior adviser, Jared Kushner.
According to the Daily Beast, Mr Bannon called Mr Kushner, who is Jewish, a “Cuck” and a “Globalist” - terms that carry antisemitic undertones, and are often used by the radical alt-right.
Tensions between the two senior presidential advisers have been building up for a while. Mr Bannon, who was removed from his position on the National Security Council this week due to a “reorganisation”, headed Mr Trump’s presidential campaign and is believed to be very close to the president.
Recently, however, Mr Bannon has been accusing Mr Kushner, who is married to Mr Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, of trying to “shiv him and push him out the door.”
