American performer Neil Diamond married his manager Katie McNeil last weekend.
The 71 year old music legend wed Ms McNeil, 42, in Los Angeles, in front of close family and friends. "Katie and I got married last night, we wish you all could've been there," Mr Diamond posted on his Twitter account. "It was magical! Love, Neil."
The two met while making the 2009 TV documentary, "Neil Diamond: Hot August Night/NYC" for which Ms McNeil was executive producer. The couple announced their engagement on Twitter last September.
The wedding comes 17 years after Mr Diamond's divorce from second wife Marcia Murphy, which ended in a history-making $150 million settlement for Ms Murphy.
The singer shares two sons with his second wife and two daughters with his first wife, Jayne Posner. This is Ms McNeil's first marriage.
Neil Diamond is well known for his role in the 1980s film "The Jazz Singer" and for his hit songs, including "Sweet Caroline" and "I Am…I Said".
