Swedish Jews were in shock after this weekend's shootings in the Danish capital, according to Jehoshua Kaufman, president of the Jewish community in Malmö, southern Sweden.
Malmö is a 20-minute train ride from Copenhagen, and is known for its high number of antisemitic hate crimes.
"We have been feeling particularly concerned ever since the Paris attacks. We work closely with the police and they claim there is no specific threat against us right now," Mr Kaufman said.
There is an increased police presence at the Malmö synagogue and at the Jewish community centre.
"We do feel we have an increased need for security. Jews in Malmö are feeling nervous," Mr Kaufman said.
