Louis Farrakhan 'loses Twitter blue tick' after blaming Harvey Weinstein scandal on 'Jewish power'

In a rambling three-hour sermon, the Nation of Islam founder also said the Talmud allowed men to do 'anything to gentile women'

Louis Farrakhan has lost his Twitter “blue tick” - given to celebrities and public to signify   which signifies a verified account, after tweeting footage of a sermon in which he blamed "Jewish power" the Harvey Weinstein scandal.

In a rambling three-hour sermon uploaded to YouTube, the founder of the Nation of Islam also claimed that the Talmud allows men to do “anything to gentile women – and black women in particular”.

He tweeted a link to a video recording of the speech with the caption: “Thoroughly and completely unmasking the Satanic Jew and the Synagogue of Satan.”

As of Wednesday morning, his account no longer featured a blue tick.

Mr Farrakhan went on to discuss Mr Weinstein, Donald Trump and the #MeToo movement.

He said: “The couch where you have to sit is called the casting couch. See? That’s Jewish power. [Did] you see Mr Weinstein on his way to jail?”

“It’s hard to tell a Jew that he’s wrong when the Talmud in which he believes has taught him that gentile women - and black women in particular - you can do anything to them you want because they’re partly animals.”

Mr Weinstein has been accused of a string of sexual assaults against women. He has denied charges of rape brought by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.

Mr Farrakhan, who first rose to prominence in the late 1950s, has a history of making antisemitic comments, and Jews are frequently the subject of many of his contemporary sermons.
