Multiple members of the Kardashian family has posted their support for Jewish people on social media today after a number of antisemitic tirades by Kanye West, Kim Kardashian's ex-husband.

Earlier today, Khloe Kardashian became the first member of the reality-famous family to take a stand against the US rapper’s anti-Jew rants. The reality TV star reposted to her quarter a billion Instagram followers an instagram graphic produced by Jessica Seinfeld, wife of the sitcom creator, which read: “I support my Jewish friends and the Jewish people.”

Khloe's siblings Kendall and Kylie, as well as their mother Kris, later re-posted the same messages on their Instagram feeds. Kim Kardashian also tweeted her support for the Jewish people saying: "Hate speech is never OK or excusable. I stand together with the Jewish community and call on the terrible violence and hateful rhetoric towards them to come to an immediate end."

Celebrities around the world have come together to take a stand against rap star Kanye West over his continued antisemitic attacks on Jews - as pressure on sportswear firm Adidas to dump him intensifies.

Singer Boy George made a tearful statement on Instagram and Twitter in which he called on more celebrities to speak out.

The Do You Really Want to Hurt Me star said: “As a gay man I have experienced years of prejudice so the idea of doing that to someone else based on their race or their colour or their sexuality or their gender is just f***ing appalling to me and it should be appalling to you.”

Specifically, he also called on West’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian to speak out. “She must understand as a mother what it feels like for little Jewish children to hear these f***ing comments, how demoralising and terrifying it must be."

The outpouring of support also follows a white supremacist demonstration on a Los Angeles freeway in which banners were posted saying: ‘Kanye was right about the Jews’ and ‘Honk if you know’.

Actress and producer Reese Witherspoon added her voice to those condemning the fresh series of attacks on Jews, posting: “Antisemitism in any form is deplorable. In person. Online. Doesn’t matter where. It’s hate and it’s unacceptable. Completely understand why my Jewish friends/colleagues are frightened for their families. This is a very scary time.”

On Twitter, Friends star Jennifer Aniston reposted a tweet from political commentator Ana Navarro that read: “Mental illness is not an excuse for bigotry and antisemitism.”

West, who also goes by the name of Ye, has lost a contract with French fashion house Balenciaga and his contract with sports company Adidas is “under review” following a series of antisemitic tirades. In one attack, he wrote that he was going to go “death con 3 on Jewish people”.

The rapper boasted: “I can say antisemitic things and Adidas can’t drop me. Now what?”

The German shoemaker, which was founded by members of the Nazi party, makes more than £1billion annually from its partnership with West, thanks to the popularity of his YEEZY brand which started in 2015.

At the weekend, Jewish Hollywood super agent Ari Emanuel, whose clients include Oprah Winfrey, wrote in an article for the Financial Times that there should be “no tolerance anywhere for West’s antisemitism”. Adidas and other brands should stop partnering with the rapper and designer, Mr Emanuel said.
