Jewish actor Jeff Goldblum has joined the cast of Glee.
The actor, whose hits include Jurassic Park and Independence Day, will play one of the fathers of actress Lea Michele.
Ms Michele's character Rachel Berry has been described as Jewish on a number of occasions on the show, including in an episode where she dated her fellow Jewish Glee club member, Noah "Puck" Puckerman.
The actress, who is half-Jewish, publicised the news about Mr Goldblum's casting to her Twitter fans.
She said: "So excited that we're finally going to get to meet Rachel's dads!!! So anxious to get to work with both of them."
