Israeli men have the highest life expectancy in the Middle East and the fourth highest in the world, according to a report by the World Health Organisation, published on Thursday.
Israeli men born in 2012 will live for an average 80.2 years.
Men from Iceland were likely to live the longest, at an average 81.2 years, followed by Switzerland at 80.7 years and Australia at 80.5 years.
Israeli women did not fare so well. With a life expectancy of 84 years, they did not make the top 10 national chart of life expectancy for women.
