Israeli warplanes have carried out a strike on a military base in Syria, according to US officials.
The attack took place overnight on Wednesday near the Syrian coastal city of Latakia.
It reportedly targeted a shipment of Russian-made missiles, which were being delivered to Hizbollah in Lebanon.
Israel has said repeatedly that it will not allow Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to transfer rockets and missiles to militant organisations in the region - especially to his Hizbollah allies in southern Lebanon.
Although Israel will not comment on specific operations, this is thought to be the fifth or sixth Israeli attack against transferred missiles in the area this year.
This news comes after the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) said Syria had destroyed all its chemical weapons.
Neither Israel nor Syria have commented on the attacks.
