An Israeli operation was responsible for decimating Iran's fleet of unmanned drones according to a new report.

According to Haaretz, the February attack destroyed several hundred drones and severely restricted Iran's capacity to use unmanned aerial vehicles to launch attacks across the Middle East.

The news of the attack was first reported this weekend by Lebanese TV outlet who reported that an Iranian missile strike in Iran was connected to Israel's earlier operation.

According to the TV channel's report, the attack was in retaliation by Iran for Israel's attack of a drones based near the Iranian city of Kermanshah last month.

The Iranian government claimed responsibility for last weekend's attack, saying they had intelligence to suggest the target was used by Israel for training purposes.
