Iranian officials are planning to file a lawsuit against the makers of the Academy Award-winning film, Argo.

According to the Iranian media, French lawyer Isabelle Coutant-Peyre, wife of Venezualan terrorist Ilich Ramirez Sanchez, plans to lodge a case in an international court arguing that Argo, directed by Ben Affleck, was an “unrealistic portrayal” of the country.

On Monday, Ms Coutant-Peyre went to a conference in Tehran’s Palestine cinema called a “Hoax of Hollywood”.

According to reports, at the conference, Argo was condemned as a “violation of international cultural norms” and the film’s Oscar labelled a “propaganda attack against our nation”.
