The names of five of the seven victims killed in a terror attack at a alight rail stop in Jaffa, south Tel Aviv on Tuesday night have been released.
Security forces and an armed civilian ultimately shot dead the two gunmen, according to Israeli police,
The deadly attack began in a rail carriage and continued on the platform, Videos shared on social media depicted lifeless bodies scattered across the street after the gunmen got off the train and begun to open fire on passengers on the platform.
Many were wounded with varying degrees of injuries, police said.
The five victims named so far are 33-year-old Inbar Segev Vigdar, 42-year-old Ilya Nozadze, 24-year-old Revital Bronstein, Nadia Sokolenko and 30-year-old Shahar Goldman, Israeli outlet Kan revealed.
Jewish mother Vigder was holding her nine-month-old child in her carrier when she was shot and murdered by the Palestinian terrorists. A personal trainer and pilates instructor, Vigder is survived by her husband and her baby.
Her husband, Yaari Vigdar, is a soldier in the reserves, who is currently fighting in Gaza and in the north, according to TV station Kan.
Her baby was unharmed and was taken to a hospital nearby.
Bronstein, from Bat Yam, was studying for her masters in computer science and was an only child..
The mayor of Bat Yam, Tzvika Brot, in a Facebook tribute wrote: "Even when she was in high school, she won prestigious awards for her work in the fields of computer science and artificial intelligence. She was also a gifted comic artist."
Goldman left behind her husband Tai, her sisters Esther, Dikla and Merav and her parents Avraham and Ruth Goldman.
The mayor of Lod, Yair Revivo, told Kan she got married a year ago, and was an "outstanding international dancer”.
Ilya Nozadze was a Georgian citizen, according to Israeli news publication Ynet.
Nadia Sokolenko was an immigrant from Moldova, and a mother of one, according to the Jerusalem Post.
Meanwhile, the armed civilian who helped to kill the terrorists was a survivor of the Nova festival massacre, Lev Kreitman, according to the Forward.
Kreitman, an Israel Defence Forces reservist, sprang into action, along with authorities, during the deadly shooting that rattled the bustling Israel city. He had a handgun on him owing to his status in the army.
A video circulating on WhatsApp, apparently filmed out of the window of a nearby apartment, shows Kreitman, who has long hair in a bun and is wearing a pink T-shirt, firing a handgun at an unseen target.
In other clips on X, he can be seen walking in the background with uniformed IDF soldiers who are overseeing the scene.
Kreitman leads Israel’s own version of the Burning Man festival called Midburn and said on an Israeli news programme that he was sitting nearby with a drink when heard gunfire, according to the Forward.
He also fought in Gaza over the last year, the outlet reported.
