Israel was the target of a missile attack on Monday as five rockets were fired from the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip.
According to an Israel Defence Force spokesperson, two of the missiles landed in the border town of Sderot. No injuries were reported.
One source said a missile exploded near a synagogue in the town during a Passover service.
The other three struck uninhabited areas causing no damage.
Israel Defence Force responded by firing warning shots into Gaza.
Earlier, an anti-tank rocket was fired from Gaza at an Israeli military patrol, missing its target.
