Donald Trump has again claimed that some American Jews are not loyal enough to Israel in a speech at a Jewish fundraising dinner.
The former president, who appears to be gearing up for a 2024 Oval Office bid, was speaking to a Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) dinner as he accepted an award from the group.
He told attendees: “The United States and Israel are not just allies on a military basis, but economically and politically. We’re allies morally, culturally and spiritually and we always will be, at least if I have anything to do about it.
“But you do have people in this country that happen to be Jewish that are not doing the right thing for Israel. Too many.”

In 2019, while serving as President, Trump also condemned Jewish Democrat voters as “very disloyal” to “Jewish people”.
Speaking from the White House South Lawn, he said: “In my opinion, the Democrats have gone very far away from Israel. I cannot understand how they can do that.
“They don’t want to fund Israel. They want to take away foreign aid to Israel. They want to do a lot of bad things to Israel. In my opinion, you vote for a Democrat, you’re being very disloyal to Jewish people and very disloyal to Israel."
On Sunday, ZOA presented President Trump with its Theodor Herzl Gold Medallion in recognition of his support for Jews and Israel.
The group said they granted the award thanks to his administration moving America’s Israel embassy to Jerusalem, cutting funding to the Palestinians, recognizing Israel’s sovereignty in the Golan Heights, and withdrawing from the Iran nuclear deal.
Discussing his term in office, President Trump hailed his rejection of the “disastrous Iran nuclear deal” as the “single most important thing” he had achieved.
“We got more votes than any sitting president in history, and something screwy with our elections as you probably know, and because of that we’re now in a very bad position,” he added.
“Iran was weakened, Iran was ready to make a deal and they’re now very wealthy. Biden has been groveling to the Iranian dictatorship to re-enter the nuclear deal.”
Implying that he did not accept the results of America’s recent midterm Congressional election, he added: “As you know the Democrats got 75 percent of the vote, which is hard to believe. We can’t let that continue.
“When you see all of the horrible things that have taken place with Biden and Barack Hussein Obama and then they get 75% of the vote. What the hell is going on here? But we’re going to get it changed.”
President Trump also condemned people in Congress who “hate Israel”.
“Biden appointed numerous anti-Israel radical leftists to key government posts including those who’ve supported the antisemitic BDS movement that calls for economic warfare against the State of Israel. They’re just unacceptable…
“We’ll preserve our great western biblical tradition, which indeed it is, and we’ll ensure that the United States and Israel stand strong and proud and free as nations for many, many generations to come.”
In regards to a possible Presidential run, he added: “Speaking for myself and my administration, we’ll be making a statement on Tuesday night. We’ll see what happens.”
