Pop singer Justin Bieber is being sued by his former Israeli bodyguard.

Moshe Benabou, who worked for the 18-year-old from March 2011 until October 2012, is seeking unspecified damages for assault and battery, in addition to $420,000 in unpaid overtime.

According to reports, Mr Benabou claims that the singer berated and punched him on the chest multiple times.

A source representing Mr Bieber told US Weekly: "This whole thing is baseless and meritless.”

“Justin never hit him and couldn't. He is so much smaller. This whole thing is a lie."
