Former Baywatch star Donna D’Errico sustained severe injuries after a nasty fall on Mt Ararat this week while searching for Noah’s Ark.

According to gossip website TMZ, Ms D’Errico, who played Donna Marco on the popular beachside series between 1996 and 1998, is keen to return to the Turkish mountain soon, despite her serious facial bruising. She says it has been a lifetime dream to find the boat.

The dormant volcano on the Iran-Turkey border is, according to Genesis 8:4, where Noah’s Ark came to rest after the great flood.

The search for the vessel in the area has been going on for at least 1700 years, and is now primarily the pursuit of Christian evangelical groups.
