German federal prosecutors raided the apartments and offices of 10 alleged Iranian agents in several states on Tuesday in connection with possible spying on Jewish, Israeli, and German government targets.

Iran is suspected of gathering information on sites as potential terrorism targets on behalf of Vevak, an Iran-based secret service, and the al-Quds Brigades, which is part of the Revolutionary Guard.

No one was arrested in the search.

The federal prosecutors’ office in Karlsruhe did not comment on a report in Focus magazine that the alleged spies were specifically targeting Israeli or Jewish institutions.
