Police in Argentina have stopped a terror group who were planning attacks on the Jewish community.
According to Reuters, the National Security Ministry said it had thwarted a "Islamist terrorist organisation” from planning attacks on the Jewish community in the city of Mendoza.
Argentina has Latin America's largest Jewish population and the community has faced a number of deadly attacks against it.
In 1994 an attack on a Jewish community centre killed 85 people in the deadliest incident against the Jewish community in Argentina's history and in 1992, terrorists targeted the Israeli embassy killing 22 people.
Security Minister Patricia Bullrich responded to the foiled attack on social media, sayingP: "We are going to get rid of each and every one of these criminals who intend to sow fear in Argentines and they will pay."
